John and I LOVE going to the movies. It seems like a distant memory being able to go without having to plan a week in advance. Sure, we can hire a babysitter (if we want to pay five bucks an hour.) John's mother is usually available, but she has usually had a long week and it's exhausting looking after her. Friends volunteer, but we always feel like we have to rush back home. John had an epiphany today (What if we took Bella along with us?) The Warren theater has a cry room, but you are limited to whatever movie is showing in those theaters. AMC is dangerous and we have a child now. Hollywood is almost as expensive as Warren, but it is a shell of its former glory. Here's the plan. Step 1- STARBUCKS. Step 2- Pick the latest movie possible. Step 3- Keep Bella up as late as possible. Step 4- See if she will sleep through the flick. Step 5- DO NOT become angry if this doesn't work. Step 6- Kick ourselves if it does work, and we have just never thought of it before!

  1. I hope it works for you! We've just decided to settle for movies on DVD. Looking forward to family movie nights.

  2. Tamara-John actually wrote this one! I think he had a great idea, except that we needed to maybe fit in a nap for US! Here lately I could probably be in bed by 8:30, but try and keep myself awake at least until 10! So, needless to say we didn't put the plan into action just yet...if we try it I'll let you know how it goes! :)
